Thinking about adopting a driver application management system? In the increasingly competitive market for hiring truck drivers, efficiently manage your driver application process is critically important to getting the staff you need. If you're ready to make the switch from a traditional paper application, though, which provider should you use? There's a huge range of providers (including us!), all with different features and at different price points. The market can be pretty confusing, so we've written this post to help transportation companies consider their options. We want everyone in the industry to find the best possible solution considering their needs.
In this article we summarize the strengths and weaknesses of the four biggest providers in the industry for medium-sized carriers: DriverForce, Tenstreet's Intelliapp, and our own product, Enlistics.
Let's get to it!
Driverreach is a new option, but they are a good choice for a modern product. Like many new software applications, driverreach pricing is clear and simple. You'll pay around $250 per month for their basic application software, but with options running up to $980 per month (or $11,750 per year) depending on the features you need. They also offer a built-in job board and recruiting ads for an additional fee. Driverreach's product is clean and modern, with mobile optimized applications and good workflow handling tools. That said, they are a very new company, meaning that you may find their product has a few kinks in it you weren't expecting.
Intelliapp pricing is not publicly available on the internet, but in general, intelliapp costs at least $6000 per year for basic application software, with prices increasing to more than $10,000 per year for a full feature set.
Tenstreet provides an enormous variety of different integrations, with everything from bus ticket purchasing to safety training videos available as integrated features. For very large companies where automating every element of your recruiting strategy is critical, they have what you need. Tentreet's Intelliapp has been around for almost twenty years now, and it's a very mature product. They are a conservative option following a well-worn path, with a product that has had many years of refinement.
The flip side of being an old player in the market is that their technology is also a little behind the times. The standard intelliapp doesn't render well on phones, so drivers on the road may have a difficult time applying to your opportunity. Second, Tenstreet's intelliapp cost is not publicly available, but their pricing varies based on a number of different factors. If you're looking for simple, predictable costs, they may not be for you.
Finally we have Enlistics - the simple driver recruiting solution. Enlistics is priced at a flat monthly fee, with no hidden fees or additional costs for setup or integration. Enlistics also has a modern, well-designed interface that fits well with what you'd expect in any modern web application. It's also fully mobile-optimized, so drivers can fill out full applications, including digital authorization signatures, on the go.
Enlistics doesn't offer all the features the others do - we can't order bus tickets in-app or automatically source candidates, for instance. If you need every feature under the sun, Enlistics is probably not the best option. But for a straightforward, semi-automatic driver hiring solution, Enlistics is the best choice you can make.
Ultimately, different companies have different needs. For some carriers, a completely automated solution is the most important feature, with cost as no object. For others, a simpler, semi-automatic system is a better choice. Whichever you choose we're happy to help!
